With a degree in BA Industrial Design & Technology from Loughborough University, I have successfully transferred my creative skills across to Graphic Design building the start of a successful career in this field. My creative skills include visual ideation, typography, Adobe CS, HTML5, graphic, print and web design. In addition to this I have a great eye for detail and fantastic presentation skills. I am very quick to pick up new skills and software, I also enjoy expanding my knowledge.
At present I am working as a Digital Designer for Argos, one of the UK's leading multi-channel retailers. In my time here I have held a number of different responsibilities including creating Display Advertising, customer facing web pages and Email marketing. My main focus has been within Display Advertising and transforming the channel from a stagnant position to one the fastest growing channels in the company through the use of new technologies.
Designing and creating seasonal campaigns for the Kaleidoscope website and email channels.
Maintaining and developing the website to keep up with Web Design and UX trends.
Implementation and ownership of the online Kaleidoscope SS18 TV campaign, including Kaleidoscope’s first video embedded email.
Updating fashion trends, collections and the Kaleidoscope blog.
Working within the Digital Design team this role involves designing banners for the Argos website, Argos app, in-store browsers along with affiliate websites. These banners must adhere to brand guidelines while still being creative and engaging. I have also been involved in the design marketing emails including specific targeted category emails, for Home, Toys, Technology and Garden products, which are sent to as many as 6 million customers.
Graphic Design (Industrial Placement)
This role at RM included supporting the marketing team in producing both online and offline material to support marketing campaigns for different products. Skills in Adobe Creative Suite, organisation, time management and presentation were all enhanced during the placement.
